Reminds me of the photos I have taken of banding birds. Beautiful work.

Hmmm
How would my images look on a wall in a gallery? In what order? I'm still figuring it out...
I draw inspiration from Alec Soth (despite his bad disposition, personality, and general rep in our thesis class) and enjoy the way in which he displays his photos in a gallery. Most large, some small, a few diptychs, white frames, decent spacing, straight on, simple. I believe the work I am doing would be best understood through a book, which would be on display in the gallery alongside the work.

Kate Breakey
I am thrilled to be attending Kate Breakey's first retrospective and book signing for her new publication Painted Light this Saturday at 7 PM. It will be held at the Witliff Collection at the Alkek Library (7th floor) at Texas State in San Marcos. If you haven't wandered through the Witliff Collection it is amazing and Breakey's work is breathtaking all around but even more striking in person as they are massive in size. RSVP here: thewittliffcollections@txstate.edu
